Ford revealed the new Tourneo Connect: a multipurpose vehicle, which will elevate the Tourneo brand's design, spaciousness, and adaptability. With a comfortable and adaptable interior, a total capacity of seven passengers, and the option of two alternative wheelbases, the new Tourneo is the correct answer for active lives. This family car is well adapted to handling everything from hauling camping and sports equipment.

The inventive and connected Tourneo has cutting-edge digital technologies, and a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems makes the new Tourneo Connect comfortable and straightforward to drive. New features include stress-reduction aided driving and Pro Trailer Backup Assist, which simplifies towing movements.

The new Ford Tourneo Connect also introduces an all-wheel-drive system that boosts driving comfort and a new automatic gearbox option for petrol models; both of which are part of a wide selection of new petrol and diesel engines designed to deliver the highest efficiency in its class.

The new Tourneo Connect is ready in seven-seat configurations on both the more practical and comfortable L1 short wheelbase and L2 long-wheelbase versions. The redesigned cabin improves comfort without sacrificing the functionality that Tourneo Connect customers value. In addition, clients who purchase Trend, Titanium, or Active equipment can optionally choose ergonomic seats with additional leg supports. The new Tourneo Connect has a loading volume of up to 3.1 m3.

The new Ford Tourneo Connect is designed in the solid and expressive style of the latest Ford vehicles. Each series has its unique design, with the front adorned with bold, sculpted lines to give a sporty image.

The Active line, inspired by Ford SUVs, combines rugged design with luxury detailing. The unusual 17-inch alloy wheels feature a dark and machined two-tone metal finish. These are part of the Active series' distinctive design, including a honeycomb grille, a metal shield, and extra decorations for wheel arches, sills, and bumpers.

All Tourneo Connect variants have a significant and simple-to-use touch screen on the dashboard, bringing the vehicle's critical systems within reach of the driver. Customers may select between an 8.25-inch screen as usual and a 10-inch screen on all equipment if they want. The touch screen handles navigation, air conditioning, and music, while additional functions like a phone connection, car information, and audio configuration are divided into submenus to avoid distraction while driving. Also, the FordPass Connect modem is integrated inside vehicles with a 10-inch touch screen to let consumers stay connected on the road.

The new Ford Tourneo Connect provides 19 driver assistance technologies to make travel more enjoyable, less stressful, and safer. The generous standard specification includes Automatic Emergency Braking, Collision Warning, Driver alert, Parking sensors, Lane storage system, Road Sign Recognition.

The towing aid package includes the new Pro Trailer Backup Assist to help avoid the risks when towing rearward. This technology enables even new drivers to manage with confidence by controlling the direction of the car and trailer with the door mirror adjustment knob rather than the steering wheel. To help drivers even further, the camcorder and sensors in the new Tourneo Connect identify the perimeter of the trailer and overlay the directions on the camera screen.

Aside from sophisticated driver assistance systems, the new Ford Tourneo Connect can be outfitted with comfort-enhancing options such as Quickclear heated windshields, sensor wipers, and heated door mirrors.

A 1.5-liter EcoBoost petrol engine with 114 horsepower and 220 Nm of torque is available, as are two EcoBlue diesel engines with 122 hp and 320 Nm of torque or 112 hp and 280 Nm of torque. All these models come equipped with a six-speed manual transmission. The seven-speed PowerShift dual-clutch automatic transmission provides fast and smooth shifts for manual gearbox performance with the convenience of an automatic transmission.

The Ford Tourneo Connect, equipped with a 2.0-liter EcoBlue diesel engine producing 122 horsepower and coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox, is available with all-wheel drive. However, it does not reduce passenger room or loading height. In addition, customers who often drive on hard surfaces might benefit from the motor protection shield, which is available from the car manufacturer. @via Ford.
