The Munich comparison portal won the test with the quality rating GOOD, beating out cheaper rental automobiles. CHECK24 was the best "Find a rental car portal." Furthermore, CHECK24 was the only portal with no general terms and conditions flaws.
Stiftung Warentest investigated ten rental car comparison and booking portals from July to September 2022. The offer information was requested in October and November. Five distinct booking situations with different rental stations were investigated, and bookings and cancellations were made. Furthermore, the experts sent each supplier three help requests by email, contact form, or chat.
The total ranking was determined by the results of the categories "Find a rental car" (30%), "Book and cancel" (40%), and "Service and information" (30 percent). A lawyer also reviewed the basic terms and conditions. Flaws in the terms and conditions or customer service caused devaluations.
